Rygin King says his highly anticipated debut album is still a work in progress.

The Montego Bay-based Dancehall artiste is hitting the studio hard, just six months after he was shot and injured.

Rygin King has hinted that his debut album, “Dancehall Trap” due early next year, is almost complete, “Working on the album #trapking #oneking,” he wrote in his latest update to fans via Instagram.

While the “Tuff” deejay has been tight-lipped with details surrounding the forthcoming project, last month he shared the photo he’ll be using on for the album cover.

The “Tuff” deejay, real name Matthew Smith was shot and injured on Sunday, June 28 after leaving a funeral in Westmoreland.

Reports are that he was travelling in a convoy in Bethel Town when one of the cars was involved in a collision. While repairs were being done another car drove up and a passenger alighted and peppered the bystanders with bullets, including the deejay.

A woman, 28-year-old, Sashalee Blackwood was shot and killed in the incident, while another recording artiste, Goon, was shot in his foot.
