International Pop superstar Rihanna has made a huge pledge to assist the Bahamas following the destruction caused by hurricane Dorian.

The “Wild Thoughts” singer once again proved her humanitarian qualities after she pledged aid for the Bahamas after the islands were devastated by the category five hurricane for almost two days.

Rihanna, who was born in Barbados, took to Instagram to pledge relief aid to the Caribbean nation after witnessing the disaster saying “It truly breaks my heart to see the complete devastation that #HurricaneDorian is having on the Bahamas!”

The singer would go on to declare that “You are in our prayers and @ClaraLionelFdn is already figuring out how best we can help! #HurricaneDorain #Bahamas”

Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation was started back in 2012 in honor of her grandparents. It was initially set up to support and fund groundbreaking and effective education, health, and emergency response programs around the world.

Dorian, has since been declared the strongest storm to ever hit the Atlantic, battered the Bahamas for two days with Category 5 winds up to 185 mph (295 kph) and relentless rains, flooding neighborhoods and destroying or severely damaging properties an infrastructures.

The official death toll currently stands at 7 but officials say that figure is likely to swell significantly as more information becomes available.
