Alaine is turning a new page in her life, as the singer recently revealed that was baptized on social media.
The “No Ordinary Love” singer took to Instagram on Saturday revealing to fans that she had turned her life over to Jesus Christ.
The 39-year-old singer broke the news to fans by saying “I got baptized this morning, and what a joy.”
Quoting Isaiah 43:19, she said: “Behold I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

The singer, whose real name is Alaine Laughton, was baptized by gospel artiste Ryan Mark of Pure In Heart Ministries International in Kingston.
Some fans may not have been caught completely off-guard by the singer’s announcement, as the singer was recently seen performing with Kevin Downswell at the recently staged Fun in the Son gospel concert in Kingston.
