Reggae recording artiste Queen Ifrica recently celebrated a milestone in her career after performing for Winnie Mandela, the ex-wife of late former South Africa president Nelson Mandela.

The 41-year-old ‘Lioness on the Rise’ singer, real name Ventrice Morgan performed at Mandela’s 80th Birthday celebration held at the Emperor’s Palace. The event was hosted by the ANC Women’s League and also featured South Africa’s Hugh Masekela.

According to Ifrica, “She felt like a little girl performing for the Queen,” while adding that they both cried together after her performancec. She also uploaded a photo saying, “Winnie Mandela telling me how much she loves me i am so humbled.”
