Protoje Goes Viral After Taking Off Signature Hat For Instagram Pose

Reggae entertainer Protoje sent tongues wagging on social media over his recent photo.

The “Like Royalty” singer was enjoying some R&R at The Jamaican Inn hotel in St. Ann, when he ditched his signature hat and struck a pose ‘chopping his ten’ in a robe, while holding a phone to his ears in the bathroom.

“Choosing how I spend my time. It’s completely by design. Bless up @thejamaicainn for the love all weekend,” Protoje captioned the post.

Shockingly the photo went viral as many social media users chimed-in on the upload. “Wah unu have fi say bout this be honest?,” Outspoken Dancehall selector Foota Hype questioned when he re-posted the image to his Instagram account.

“Bombo 2020 really different. Who did know we woulda eva see Proto ah cut him 10 and well pose off inna robe widout him tam? Rawse,” ZJ Sparks wrote.

However Dancehall and Reggae fans weren’t so politically correct with their reactions, “Wow fame and fortune make a man sell him soul,” one fan wrote. “Looking like a real auntie man,” another added.

“Style deh nuh look good Rasta 👊🏾,” the comments continued. “When you start par with Jah Cure ? 😂,” one said referencing the Grammy-nominated artiste’s often skimpy attire and controversial poses.

Regardless of the slew of negative comments, many were here for King Digg striking a pose, “Delightfully refreshing photo,” a social media user penned. “Dis affi be my wallpaper lol 🔥 mood !!!,” another added.
