Power star Michael Rainey Jr. has opened up about his deep love and connection to Jamaica in a recent Onstage interview.
The 17-year-old actor recently sat down for a candid interview with veteran host Winford Williams where he revealed his deep connections to the island including his family roots.
Rainey Jr., who is most popularly known for his role as Tariq St. Patrick in the hit Starz TV show, revealed that his Jamaican lineage comes from his mother, who was actually born in Jamaica but migrated to the United States at 12-years-old.

The young star who last month visited the island to chill and perform some charity work reveals that he actually comes to Jamrock quite often as his family still has a house in the country.
“I am here just to enjoy myself, my family has a house here, and i’m also here to do a charity for multiple house,” Rainey Jr. said
Rainey Jr. who says he has always been identified as a Jamaican in Hollywood is set to claim the title legally as the actor recently applied for his Jamaican passport after visiting the Jamaican embassy in New York.
