Popcaan is looking to cancel the hot girl/city girls summer.

The international Dancehall deejay took to social media recently to share his frustration with the new ‘Periodt’ slang that’s sweeping social media.

“What happen to them girl yah nowadays everything unu a talk, unu a talk bout period period,” Popcaan said in a video uploaded to his IG. “Mi nuh deh pan the period thing wid unu eno. Mi nuh like deh argument deh eno.”

One of the “Family” deejay’s female fans told him that the slang was apart of the hot girl/city girl summer. “Tell city girls get a pad and go bathe,” he responded.

“Hot girl summer” is inspired by Houston Rapper Megan Thee Stallion. “It’s about women and men being unapologetically them, just having a good-ass time, hyping up their friends, doing you,” She explained in an interview with The Root. “You definitely have to be a person who can be the life of the party and just a bad b***h.”
