Popcaan Teams Up With MP For St Thomas Development

Dancehall artist Popcaan has joined forces with Member of Parliament for St Thomas Eastern Dr Fenton Ferguson in order to lobby for greater improvements in the road infrastructure throughout the parish.

The “El Chapo” deejay, who hails from Bath, St Thomas, recently collaborated with citizens to stage a peaceful protest demanding improvements to the deplorable road conditions throughout the parish.

Following the protest a meeting was reportedly staged between Dancehall superstar and the veteran MP, where both parties decided it was best to unify their efforts in order to lobby with the government for improvements.

Feguson warmly has reportedly welcomed the idea of collaborating with the “World Cup” deejay, as he says the deejay’s positive personality resonates well with the youth, and together their efforts can only lead to further upliftment for the parish.

According to PNP officials, the two will work together as well as with other critical stakeholders to gather funds and highlight the various issues affecting residents of St Thomas.

Both Popcaan and the politician have already agreed to tour several areas of concern within St Thomas and will determine how best they can work together for the benefit of the parish.
