Popcaan is gearing up to rejuvenate the entertainment climate in St Thomas with the inaugural staging of his Unruly Fest.
The event slated for December 22 will be held in Lyssons Park in the parish with Popcaan and several Dancehall/Reggae artists performing live in Concert.
Unruly Fest is presented by the “Family” deejay, given name Andrae Sutherland’s Unruly Entertainment and Popcaan Care Foundation.
According to event coordinator, Sharon Williams, Popcaan always wanted to host a signature event for his hometown, so Unruly Fest has been a long time coming.
Popcaan Lands Another Major International Collaboration
While tight-lipped on the lineup, Williams revealed that veteran entertainer Capleton is already confirmed for the concert. Dancehall fans have already begun to speculate, tossing other names around including Jah Cure, Aidonia, Tommy Lee Sparta, and several others who he has enjoyed good relations with over the years.
Popcaan has also been doing a lot of charity work within the parish as of late as he recently hosted a back to school kids treat and funday for children in Morant Bay back in August.
The treat, which was organized by the deejay’s Popcaan Care Foundation in collaboration with Lasco and Bascho was said to be a resounding success and was praised by members of the community.
