Popcaan is receiving high praises after the deejay recently helped to put big smiles on the faces of children from Walker’s Place of Safety.

The “Inviolable” deejay was singled out for special praise from Minister of State for Education, Youth and Information Floyd Green who lauded the deejay for generously treating the kids to a VIP experience of watching ‘Black Panther’ at the cinemas last Sunday.

The entertainer donated $100,000 for the children to be treated to after accepting a challenge from media personality Nikki Z late last month.

Not only did Dancehall superstar pay for all the children to view the film in their own reserved theatre, but he also ensured that they were also treated to snacks and refreshments.

According to Green, Popcaan’s generous act is a huge step in the right direction and encouraged other entertainers to engage in more positive activities.

Although the “Family” deejay could not gift his physical presence to the children they were left extremely happy as he sent them video message expressing his joy in helping them to have a reason to smile.

The generous act comes just months after the Walker’s Place of Safety was devasted by fire, tragically claiming the lives of two children in the blaze.
