Popcaan Lawyers Respond To Pending Lawsuit

Attorneys representing Dancehall artist Popcaan have responded to legal threats made by Bahamian promotion company MVP Entertainment, who claim they intend to sue the Jamaican superstar.

According to the entertainer’s attorney, Ron Young, neither he nor his client has received any legal documents from MVP Entertainment in relation to his no-show for an event in Abaco Islands last weekend.

The promoters threatened to take legal action against the “Family” deejay for losses incurred for what they are calling “unprofessional” behavior which led to the cancellation of the event.

Young however dissmissed the claims stating that it is actually MVP who violated the terms of the contract forcing the artist to pull the plug on the performance.

According to Young, the promotion company made various breaches to the contract including late and non-payments, venue changes without prior notification, technical difficulties, lack of venue accreditation, lack of security and no private area for the artiste.

The attorney offered an apology to deejay’s Bahmian fans who were eager to see him but pointed out that the deejay had no choice but to cancel due to the unproffesional behavior of event organizors.
