Dancehall superstars Popcaan and Konshens have both pledged their support for the Bahamas in their hurricane relief efforts.

As humanitarian efforts continue to arrive for the Bahamas following the devastating destruction by hurricane Dorian Dancehall artistes have now joined the charge.

Earlier this week Dancehall superstars Popcaan and Konshens took to thier Instagram pages to enlighten fans on the awful conditions residents are now facing following the record-breaking storm.

Popcaan would gon on to post an emotional direct message he received from a survivor in the Bahamas, begging him to share their plight so they may recieve assistance.

“If you can. Can you please use your platform to bring awareness to what we are going through in the Bahamas,” the fan claimed, before telling the deejay that his family is separated on different islands with some battling up to 20Ft of water.

The “Unruly” deejay commented on the screenshot displaying sadness while also offering a prayer for his fellow Caribbean nationals.

“This is a really bad time for the people in the Bahamas I pray god will protect you all..🙏🏿🙏🏿😔” the deejay captioned the post.

Following Popcaan’s gesture Dancehall superstar Konshens also took to social media to share images of the destruction caused by the catagory 5 hurricane but took it a step further by sharing a GoFundME for relief efforts.

“If u can. Big or small, hit the LINK IN MY BIO as we at least start to try to help the people of the Bahamas in whatever way we can,” the deejay captioned his post.

The “Bruck Off Yuh Back” deejay also revealed that he is currently working on sourcing other financial aid and supplies to help in the relief efforts.

The deejay ended his post by calling on fans to support “other individuals and companies that are planning to give aid,” as the people of Bahamas are in desperate need.

Konshens and Popcaan’s efforts follows a recent pledge by Minister Marion Hall, formerly Lady Saw, who declared plans to stage a benefit concert in Nassau to aid the recovery of the islands.
