Popcaan is upping the ante as he continues to advocate for the residents of St Thomas who are in desperate need of better roads in the parish.

The international Dancehall artist who met with Member of Parliament Dr Fenton Ferguson in September to discuss the deplorable condition of the roads, says he is now open to meeting with Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness.

According to the “El Chapo” deejay, he’s willing to take time off from his hectic schedule to sit down discuss development projects with the relevant authorities as the situation needs to be addressed immediately.

Earlier this year, Popcaan took to the streets of Morant Bay, St Thomas along with several community members for a peacefully protested over the conditions of the roads.

The ‘Unruly Boss’ who hails from York in the parish, says he joined the protest as he believes using his influence was the only way to gain the attention from the media and Government.

“Long time the people dem a try get help and nobody nah do nothing,” he said. “Suh mi know seh if the unruly boss deh yah dem ago watch and see. St Thomas is a parish where we don’t have a lot of things, but right now, we’re just asking for the road rasta,” he added.
