Popcaan is calling out the Recording Academy after they snubbed Dancehall for the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Despite Popcaan’s FIXTAPE album doing well in the US market, and even debuting on the Billboard 200 at number 94, which was the sixth-best debut of that week. The project’s currently sits at six on the stream-driven Billboard Reggae Albums chart.

Unfortunately the “Family” deejay was not given a Grammy nod in the “Best Reggae Album” category.

This year’s nominees are Upside Down 2020 by Buju Banton; One World by The Wailers; It All Comes Back to Love by Maxi Priest; Got to Be Tough by Toots and the Maytals; and, Higher Place by Skip Marley.

The Unruly Boss took to his Instagram account on Wednesday to send congratulations to the nominees while blasting the Grammy awards for being corrupt.
