Popcaan Blasted After Making Plea To Stop Crime & Violence In Jamaica

International Dancehall superstar Popcaan is making an emotional plea to the ghetto youths of Jamaica to put an end to the crime wave that is gripping the country.

On Sunday, the “El Chapo” deejay took to his Instagram account to share a video with his over 880,000 followers as he directed a message to the ghetto youths who he believes are responsible for the murders in Jamaica.

According to Popcaan, while he’s unaware of the motive for the killings, he’s urging criminals to stop and focus on making money.

However just like Tommy Lee Sparta, Bounty Killer and Aidonia whom have made similar pleas since the start of the year, Dancehall fans are blasting the “Unruly Boss” saying his statements are hypocritical, citing that he glorifies crime and violence in his songs.

Dancehall stakeholders are also in agreement saying crime will only go down if artists like Popcaan start singing about peace and motivate the youths of the country instead of gun lyrics.
