Popcaan’s Off To School funday and treat was a massive success.
Despite the large turn out Popcaan’s annual Off To School treat and funday was executed in a very disciplined and highly organized manner.
The “Unruly Boss” stuck to his words as the first 700 children to enter the Rudolph Elder Park in Morant Bay, St. Thomas got various school supplies and treats.
Although some overly anxious kids and their parents did try to breach the barriers at times, discipline was maintained by several security officers who steered towards the established queues.
The deejay also made sure no child was left empty-handed on the day, ensuring that kids who were not fortunate to be among the first 700 the receive a bag of supplies were still treated to pencils, sharpeners, and rulers.
Children were also treated to several rides, games, and free haircuts while refreshments were provided to patrons throughout the day by the various sponsors.
The deejay’s annual treat is facilitated through his Popcaan Care Foundation. This year’s edition had several sponsors on board including Wyscinco, Nestle, LASCO, and Bashco.
