Popcaan Announces UK Tour Dates After Alkaline Cancellation In Brixton

Popcaan is hoping to cash out on Alkaline’s recent failure.

The “Unruly Boss” has announced three tour dates in the United Kingdom following the “Badness It Name” deejay’s show in Brixton getting cancelled in Brixton on Sunday.

Popcaan will be performing live in Birmingham O2 Institute on June 30, at the London Eventim Apollo on July 1st, and on July 2nd at the Manchester O2 Ritz.

The “Stray Dog” deejay made the announcement on social media on Thursday.

“It’s about time my G,” he wrote.

Popcaan’s announcement comes days after Alkaline fans were left disappointed when promoters were forced to cancel his show citing public safety.

Hundreds of Vendetta fans reportedly broke into the venue after they refused to pay for tickets on Sunday.

In a statement released on Tuesday via his official website Alkaline Music, the “Champion Boy” deejay apologised to his fans.

“We apologize to all our fans who came out to see Alkaline at the O2 Brixton Academy,” the statement read.

“It was an unfortunate situation, as the artiste himself was disappointed, he was ready to perform for his fans.”

“However, as a result of failure to control the crowd, and the assessment of potential damages, the event could not go on and for this we apologize to the fans and all who were affected as a result.”
