Popcaan has sought to address Dancehall critics claiming he sacrificed his close friend Unruly Shagel for fame.

“Call them five bills cause them easy fi change / Think me no know them want man get grains / Sell out the link fi five bills you no a fi give them five mil / Me bredda dead in a me house, some pu**y say me sacrifice him / A six months now me a bawl, police naan do nothing at all / Me feel it from me heart youth family from the grass root,” Popcaan deejays in the track.

Shagel, whose given name is Junior Thompson, was found dead at Popcaan’s Cherry Gardens house last year December.

The 38-year-old was discovered lying in a pool of blood in a room on the property by workmen about 8:30 a.m. Initial reports indicated that he was murdered during a home invasion. Its alleged that armed men entered the “Family” deejay’s residence, hoping to commit a robbery, when they stumbled upon Thompson.

Unfortunately, no arrests have been made in connection with Shagel’s murder.
