A policewoman and her 23-year-old daughter were shot and injured at their home in Portmore, St Catherine on Tuesday.
Its reported that shortly after 8 pm, gunmen went to the premises and attacked both women. The female Inspector returned gunfire and the attackers fled the scene.
The women were then taken to the hospital for treatment. Upon arriving at the scene, detectives found a man believed to be one of the attackers suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was transported to hospital under police guard.
