No Evidence Found Of Cop’s Involvement In Westmoreland Woman’s Death

The Police High Command has launched an investigation into the murder of a Westmoreland woman, Shantel Wright.

Last week community members demonstrated claiming she was last seen in the company of a senior police officer from the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station.

Wright’s body was found on Friday near her home in Little London, the officer has since been re-assigned, and is co-operating fully with investigators as INDECOM is working closely with the Police High Command to probe the murder.

In a statement released, the high command says cops have found no evidence of any involvement of the embattled police officer with the death of Wright however they continue to carry out a full investigation as they seek to identify the person or persons who was/were responsible for the young woman’s death, obviously to effect criminal prosecution.
