A police corporal was shot and injured by gunmen on Monday afternoon at his home inside a gated community in Trelawny.
The lawman who is attached to the Stewart Town Police Station was shot in the leg and thigh and rushed to hospital. He is currently undergoing emergency surgery at the Falmouth Public General Hospital.

The incident reportedly occurred after the cop arrived at his home, the gunmen who broke into the dwelling ran out to the back of the premises and opened fire on the cop who gave chase.
