Ninjaman and Emily Crooks are trending on social media after their 2003 interview went viral.

The interview which initially focused on the Dancehall veteran handing over a firearm to Reneto Adams on stage at Sting 2002, took some entertaining and informative turns during the 53 minutes and 55 seconds cut.

Clips from the interview flooded social media timelines on Tuesday which sparked several memes.

“I have never ever seen this interview. The news and current affairs programme I hosted at the time, #Exposure was live TV. The interview has resurfaced,” Emily wrote online. “Emily vs Ninja Man Reel infaama vs Original Front Teet Gold Teet Don Gorgon.

Ninjaman, whose birth name is Desmond Ballentine, was sentenced to life imprisonment in December 2017 in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston.

He is serving the sentence for the 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson, aka Ricky Trooper. Ballentine will not be eligible for parole until serving 25 years.

On the count of shooting with intent, Ninjaman was sentenced to 20 years, which will run concurrent with the murder sentence. Ninjaman’s son Janeil was also sentenced to life in prison, the same as Dennis Clayton, for Johnson’s death.
