Ninjaman’s family has sought to address the reason why the Dancehall star was hospitalised last week.

The veteran recording artiste was admitted to hospital for an undisclosed illness and
was reportedly is set to undergo surgery.

Ninjaman’s nephew is now sharing an update on what really occurred. According to Sumari, the incarcerated deejay is now out of hospital and recovering.

Sumari made it clear that his uncle is fine and nothing serious like what was being reported online. “He had a little slip and fall and him hurt him hand and had to do surgery,” he told The Star. “He went in on Monday but he’s out now and doing well. He’s in high spirits. There’s nothing to worry about.”

Ninjaman was sentenced to life imprisonment in December last year in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston. He was given 25 years at hard labour for the 2009 murder of Ricardo ‘Ricky Trooper’ Johnson and 20 years for shooting with intent.

The Don Gorgon’s co-accused, his son Janeil and Dennis Clayton were also sentenced to life in prison. Ninjaman’s lawyer, Valerie Neita Robertson says the former Downsound records artiste will appeal the conviction.
