Ninja Man Murder Trial Expects Verdict This Week

A verdict is expected in Ninja Man’s murder trial this week.

According to reports, prosecutors have already started their closing arguments. The arguments began Monday following Ninja Man, his son Janiel Ballentine, and Dennis Clayton, who are charged jointly in the case, completed their unsworn statements.

All three defendants denied participating in the 2009 murder of Ricardo Johnson in Olympic Gardens, St. Andrew.

Prosecutors argued that in March 2009, Ninja Man and the other accused entered a yard along Marl Road in Olympic Gardens and fired several rounds at a man who fled the premises. Mr. Johnson, who was also in the yard, was fatally shot.

The main prosecution witness testified that the “Don Gorgon” who was armed with a gun, fired twice at him and he fled.
