Niko Chromatic Still Very Ill Despite Recent Return To Dancehall Scene

Niko Chromatic says he’s still very ill despite his recent return to the turntables at last Friday’s staging of Chromatic Live.

Fans had hoped the the popular disc jock had finally overcome his health issues, which have kept him sidelined since 2015 following his appearance at last Friday’s staging of Chromatic Live, however the deejay says he is still very much ill.

The disc jock, who is a founding member of the popular Jamaican sound system Chromatic was forced to take a hiatus from the entertainment scene following his 2015 diagnosis of renal failure.

According to the selector, he is still suffering from kidney problems and only performed at the inaugural staging of the event due to its landmark significance to the sound system he helped to found.

He says he has already received dozens of inquires from persons interested in his availability for events following the staging, but ruled out any permanent return until he is 100% healthy.

The deejay revealed that he is still forced to be on a dialysis machine twice a week, and his condition requires surgery to permanently the illness.

Last year a GoFundMe page was launched for the entertainer, hoping to raise the US$50,000 necessary for his surgery, but donations failed to meet the required target and  stalled at US$ 20,475 or approximately J$2.6 million.

Despite this the deejay says he remains thankful for all the help and support he has received from all his fans and friends thus far, and remains optimistic in his quest to regain his health.

He revealed that they are currently working on plans to raise the rest of the funds, and if persons are still interested in donating his GoFund Me Page is still active https://www.gofundme.com/nikochromatic
