Nicki Minaj is set to ‘wine’ and play ‘mas’ as she heads home for Carnival in Trinidad later this year.
Earlier this week the “Chun Li” rapper got fans excited as she made the announcement on Instagram.
“Going home for Trinidad CARNIVAL,” the rapper posted to her Instagram story, sparking mixed reactions from fans.
Several fans immediately took to social media, with one fan saying “Ima head out to Trinidad ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜, while another simply declared “Yessssss.”
Although the news was met with positive reactions by many, it seems some fans are not as enthused as others.
“So now she remember she from Trinidad?.” one fan questioned, while another said “A wonder if she know seh wi nuh care ? 😂😂”
Last year the Young Money rapper shocked the world as she declared retirement in order to focus on starting a family.
Nicki made headlines earlier this week after making eye-opening claims about her ex Meek Mill on Twitter.
The rapper sent tongues wagging after claiming that Meek had physically abused her and his own sister.
“You beat your own sister and taped it. Spit on her & taped it. Kicked me in front your mother and sent her to the hospital. Sucking drake d**k made u feel tough again. Move on,” she tweeted.
