International Hip Hop superstar Nicki Minaj has announced her retirement.
On Thursday the “Chun Li” rapper shocked fans worldwide after she took to Twitter to declare her retirement from the Hip Hop game to “have my family.”
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family,” the Trinidadian rapper wrote. “I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE.”
The announcement has since sparked mixed reactions from fans on social media, with a vast majority wishing expressing disbelief.
“Calm down yall she was hacked nicki aint neva retiring,” one fan declared while another added “Must be a joke ma QUEEN can’t leave me like that???? I felt this dwaqqq????”
Recently the Young Money rapper told fans on her “Queen Radio” show that she and boyfriend Kenneth Perry had applied for a marriage license and would tie the knot in “about 80 days.”
It remains unclear if the Grammy-nominated musician, who is also a producer and actress, will be retiring from all her endeavors.
