Rastafarian media personality and philanthropist Mutabaruka is set to become one of four persons from the entertainment and arts fraternity who will be awarded Jamaica’s sixth-highest honour.

The outspoken Rastafarian radio talk show host, along with VP Records president Chris Chin, sculptors Basil Watson and Cecil Cooper are set to receive the Order of Distinction, Commander Class.
Other distinguished awardees from the entertainment fraternity include veteran Dancehall artiste Shabba Ranks, legendary late reggae singers Gregory Isaacs and William ‘Bunny Rugs’ Clarke who are all set to be awarded the OD officer class.
The 2016 National Honours and Awards Ceremony is scheduled for October 17 at King’s House.
