Munga Honorebel’s case was transferred to the Supreme Court when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court in Kingston last week.

The embattled Dancehall artiste also was granted bail in the sum of JM$500,000 when attended court on Thursdays.

“The Crown Counsel will now prepare the file, and once the matter is ready it’ll go to trial (before a jury),” his attorney, Kaysian Kennedy said.

Munga Honorebel, given name Damian Rhoden, is charged with the murder of Cleveland Smith, who was shot dead at 315 Molynes Road, Kingston 20, about 1:00 am on February 12, 2017. The entertainer was arrested on May 27, 2017.

The dancehall deejay who has maintained his innocence is expected to return to court on July 3.
