Dancehall artist Mr Vegas is receiving high praises from fans after he recently reached out to the embattled mother from the machete-wielding video which went viral on social media earlier this week.
The entertainer who was initially very critical of the woman following the emergence of the controversial footage says his perspective changed after learning her side of the story, and the struggles the woman actually faced.
On Wednesday the “I Am Blessed” deejay used his popular Facebook Live forum, “MV Corner”, to interview the woman, Doreen Dyer, while asking fans not to judge her without knowing her story.

Although the entertainer admits he did initially cast judgement on the woman, he is now pleading with his fellow Jamaicans and law enforcement officials to have leniency on the mother of five.
According to Mr Vegas, Doreen deserves a second chance, and he believes there are better ways to solve their family problems than taking custody of her children or sending her to jail.
Dyer is set to appear in court on Monday to answer to charges of child cruelty. She is currently out on bail.
