Swedish DJ Avicii was found dead in Muscat, Oman On April 20.
At the time, officials said there was “no criminal suspicion” in the case, but the cause of death was unclear.
Although the initial family statement alluded to suicide, saying, “He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace,” the specifics were not immediately released. Now though, TMZ has learned that the musician used a broken wine bottle to take his life.
Sources say, Avicii used a shard of glass to inflict a fatal wound that in turn caused massive bleeding. While two sources claim the musician cut his neck, others say it was his wrist, but neither has been confirmed.
Avicii was 28-years-old at the time of his death.
