Spice is hoping to motivate her fans with her own rags to riches story.

Earlier today the Dancehall superstar took to Instagram to share some Monday motivation with fans. In the post, the deejay shared a photo sitting with her kids on a bench while detailing her humble beginnings.

“I sat at the bus stop with my family and told them how I use to beg 4 of my friends $5 each in order to take a Taxi or bus home,” she recalled.

The “Cool It” deejay would go on to highlight the power of perseverance and self-belief with her next few lines. “I remember how I use to pray that I’ll own a car one day, Now all I can say is God answers prayer when you work hard, have faith and believe in yourself #HappyMonday Besties.”

Hundreds of fans flocked to the post, with many praising the star’s humility and congratulating her on her journey.

“True story Gracie nuff love 💙,” one fan commented, while another said, “Watch Louis Vuitton pon shirt n foot hardest working female artiste 🙌🏽🙌🏽.”

The praises did not stop there as several others commended the star for teaching her children humility. “Brave of you to do this during covid but it teaches your children humility,” one fan praised.

In recent weeks, Spice has been engulfed in controversy, following claims of ‘obeah’ and issues with her dancers. However, the deejay’s most recent squabble involved fellow Dancehall star Shenseea.

Spice caught some flack following an exchange with Jada Kingdom where she allegedly took jabs at Shenseea.

The drama unfolded when Jada Kingdom hailed Spice as her mentor while reaffirming her status as ‘Queen of Dancehall’. Spice shared the post, adding that no other female had ever tagged her admitting they “watched and learned anything” from her.

The move was widely criticized by fans, who claimed it was a dig towards Shenseea. This speculation was further fueled after Shenseea seemingly clapped back at the star and unfollowed her on Instagram.
