Mobay bus driver’s death said to be contract killing

It is being theorized that the bus driver who was shot dead along Creek Street in Montego Bay on Tuesday was a contract killing.

Police have identified the victim as Alvin Clarke, also known as “Strive,” from a West Gate Hills address in St James.

Clarke was shot and killed by unknown assailants at approximately 6:40 am along Creek Street in the second city on Tuesday. Two 13-year-old female students from the Maldon High school were also shot and injured during the incident.

It is now being alleged that Clarke’s death may have been a contract killing, and rumours have emerged that the driver may have been involved in a argument with a woman shortly before his death.

The police are yet to make any breakthroughs into the case, but investigations continue.
