Vybz Kartel - The Tropixs

Meek Mill is crowning Vybz Kartel as the real “King of Dancehall.”

The Philly rapper gave the incarcerated superstar a shoutout earlier this week following his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj endorsing Beenie Man as her King.

Meek Milly said Vybz was King after the “Under Water” deejay commented on a snippet for his “Trauma” music video. “Bomboclaaaat,” Kartel wrote, Meek responded saying, “@vybzkartel the king ahhhhhhhh.”

Last week Nicki Minaj got Gaza fans upset when she declared the Beenie Man was still the King of the genre.

While Vybz Kartel and Beenie Man fans continue to debate on who is the “King of Dancehall,” The Trinidadian rapper joined the conversation.

Minaj took to social media siding with the Doc when she uploaded his new verse for Stylo G’s “Touch Down” remix.

“UNO FI KNOW SEH A ☝️ KING!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ @kingbeenieman PICK UP NICKI ROUND AH SICILY???????????? @officialstylog ? ?? ?? ?? #TouchDownREMIX OUT NOW,” she captioned the post.

Surprisingly, Vybz Kartel was originally featured on the remix but the “Queen” rapper begged Beenie Man to add a verse.
