The 16-year-old son of Dancehall entertainer Mavado was a no show in court on Monday.

The teenager who is facing murder charges, didn’t show up to his first court hearing set for Monday.

According to Mavado’s attorney, Tamika Harris, who is also representing the juvenile, the police officers were responsible for bringing the accused to court but didn’t.

The case hearing has been rescheduled to a future date.

Mavado‘s son is currently facing charges including murder, conspiracy to murder, arson, shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Cops say he and another man, 23-year-old Andre Hinds, are suspects in the gruesome murder of Lorenza Thomas in Cassava Piece, Kingston 8 on June 5. Thomas was shot, chopped and his body burnt.

Meanwhile, Mavado is yet to turn up at the Constant Spring police station, following a call from the police earlier this month, urging him to report to them in person.

His lawyers say that the artist is  fulfilling contractual obligations overseas.
