Mavado’s Jailed Son Spark Rumours Of His Release

Rumours are swirling that Mavado’s teenage son might have been released from jail last week.

Mavado’s son was charged with the murder of 23-year-old Lorenzo Thomas, who was shot, chopped and burned to death at his home in Cassava Piece, St Andrew in June.

The teenager was being housed at the Metcalfe Street Secure Juvenile Remand Centre. However Dancehall fans are now speculating that he could have made bail recently thanks to his father.

The rumours started after Mavado hinted that he is back in Jamaica. Shortly after a new image of his son looking like he was at home surfaced online.

Mavado “Big Like Jesus”, Deejay Responds To Backlash Over God-like Image

While we are yet to confirm the reports, sources close to Mavado, says the “Big Like Jesus” deejay is trying to avoid a media spectacle and is quietly working hard on his son’s legal troubles.

“The boss a try avoid the media, so things are getting done behind the scenes,” the source said. “We all know how the media likes to put things out there and sometimes report on things that are not accurate, so the best way to deal with sensitive things like this is to try your best to avoid a media spectacle.”
