Mavado is sending out a message to his embattled 16-year-old son.

Last month, the Dancehall entertainer’s son was charged with the murder of 23-year-old Lorenzo Thomas.

Thomas was reportedly killed on June 5 after a group of men reportedly kicked in his door and shot, chopped and light his body on fire. Police say Thomas was partially beheaded during the attack, an act which they theorize was a direct order from Mavado’s son.

The ‘Progress’ deejay has been tight-lipped on the situation until Tuesday night when he uploaded a photo with his son. “Love you son,” a seemingly heartbroken Mavado wrote under the image shared on his Instagram account.

Meanwhile, the ‘Gully Gad’ is reportedly considering acquiring the services of Vybz Kartel’s star-studded legal team to fight his son’s murder case.

Sources close to Mavado claims the deejay is looking to employ a star-studded defense team, including Tom Tavares-Finson, who is regarded as one of the best defense attorneys in Jamaica.

Mavado, who is currently in the United States where he is a permanent resident, has yet to return to the island despite several warnings from law enforcement officials to turn himself in for questioning.
