The Tropixs (Kingston, Jamaica) – Mavado has reignited his age old Gully vs Gaza beef with rival Vybz Kartel.
The Dancehall star has seemingly reignited his feud with bitter rival Vybz Kartel after posting a reminder of their 2008 clash at Sting.
Mavado took to Instagram to serve up a little reminder to his fans sharing a clip of his clash with the “Worl Boss” at Sting 2008 followed by another clip declaring him as the winner.
“Dem know who’s is the real deal Gully Gad no joke about it flammable 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” the deejay captioned the post, which prompted a hilarious reaction from former ally Foota Hype who questioned “so a wah play if the bands gone? I’m asking for a friend”
Several Dancehall fans immediately took to social media speculating that the post was a swipe at Vybz Kartel, with many claiming that Mavado was simply trying to bait the deejay into a renewed rivalry.
“Di Worl Boss nah no time a pay yuh gully pad… so stop try look a strength,” one fan said while another questioned why he would share the clip saying “Den a y movado a share this…. Him forget say him dead inna d war”
For the past thirteen years, the two entertainers have been involved in one of Dancehall’s most memorable rivalries, with the feud seeming cooling in recent years following the incarceration of Vybz Kartel.
However, it seems the old rivalry could be set for another round as Vybz Kartel recently declared his loyalty in the ongoing 6ix vs MVP beef, leaving many to speculate that it’s only a matter of time before Mavado and Vybz Kartel go head to head again.
