Man Linked To Mavado Shot Dead Following Cassava Piece Incident

A man associated with Dancehall entertainer Mavado was shot and killed over the weekend.

The deceased has been identified as Ian Robinson, otherwise called ‘Gaza Man’.

Robinson was reportedly murdered behind the Constant Spring market on Saturday shortly after a gunman opened fire at Mavado in Cassava Piece.

According to reports, the ‘Gully Gad’, real name David Brooks, went to the community to settle a dispute between his son and another man.

The two got into a heated argument and Mavado reportedly punched the man.

The man allegedly left the scene and returned with two men who opened fire at Mavado and his vehicle. The ‘Big Legaue’ deejay ran to the Constant Spring Police Station and filed a report.

Mavado’s suspected shooter is now in custody. The police are yet to confirm if the two incidents are linked.
