A Manchester police constable has been arrested and is set to be charged for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a woman in the parish.
It is alleged that the police constable, whose identity was not released, abducted a woman and reportedly kept her at his home for several days. During the period of the woman’s abduction it also alleged that she was repeatedly assaulted.
The cop is expected to be charged following the completion of investigations by the Inspectorate of the constabulary, which handles internal disciplinary matters.
