Minister Marion Hall’s management has clarified her stance on a possible return to Dancehall music.

According to Hall’s manager, Delroy Escoffery, her upcoming project will be ‘Dancehall Gospel’ album.

“If yuh look pan the global space, you have different types of gospel music to reach different persons. You can get a dancehall riddim, a soca riddim and use it to preach the gospel same way,” he explained.

He further argued that it all comes down to the context and message that the music is spreading.

“It’s the content and the context that people must pay attention to and if it aligns with the Gospel of Jesus,” he said. “Yuh can say supmn ’bout God pan a track innu, but the context nuh align with the Gospel of Christ.”

The announcement follows recent criticism for the former Dancehall star. Last month she raised eyebrows after she teasing two Dancehall influenced tracks during a Instagram Live session.

In the tracks, Hall, formerly Lady Saw, clapped back at spiritual advisor RT Boss who accused her of practicing obeah.

However, it seems not all fans were in support as many fans, including Mr. Vegas, criticized the star. According to the “Heads High” deejay, Hall was being a hypocrite and trying to ‘sneak back’ into Dancehall.

There has been no official confirmation on when the album will be ready, but Escoffery says the process has begun.

“She always have songs innu, and she’s putting songs together right now. She is in the writing process, and I guess she will drop it when God tells her to drop it,” he said.
