Man to face charges for Trelawny cops death

The police are set to lay charges against a man who allegedly mowed down and killed a police Inspector in Trelawny two weeks ago.

According to reports Inspector Mark Gibbs was viciously mowed down while conducting a routine spot check exercise in Clarke’s Town on August 19.

The Inspector was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver suspect reportedly turned himself into police custody the following day, he is expected to be charged by the end of this week.

Head of the Trelawny Police Superintendent Clive Blair, says investigations into Inspector Gibbs death, are continuing.
