Man Linked To Killing Of Artist Shot Dead In Trelawny

A man who was wanted in connection with the 2016 shooting death of upcoming entertainer Jamari Reid in Trelawny was found dead in the parish last Saturday.

The man has been identified as Omar Edwards, also called Ratty, who cops say was wanted for questioning in relation to the entertainer’s August 2016 killing, as well as at least three other murders committed within the parish.

According to reports, Edwards’ gunshot-riddled body was found along a section of Gravel Hill in Duanvale.

On August 24, 2016, gunmen reportedly invaded the home of the upcoming Dancehall artist where they restrained him and several occupants before shooting him in the chest and head.

The entertainer’s wife, Monique Cooke-Reid of Ontario, Canada, was reportedly charged with soliciting his murder.
