Macka Diamond Signs Deal With US Label

Macka Diamond has signed a two year deal with a US-based independent label.

The veteran female Dancehall artiste has signed a two year management and recording deal with Sweet Music LLC, which is a independent label based in the United States.

The “Whoola Hoop” deejay believes the deal will only serve to enhance her already successful career, and expose her to new markets. The move follows years of being independently managed.

According to the female deejay, she is aiming to expand the “Macka brand,” and encourages all Jamaican artist to take a similar route.

The veteran believes many Jamaican acts need better management structure to guide their careers in a rapidly evolving music industry, especially in the areas of merchandising and publishing.

The label has also expressed equal satisfaction with the signing of the veteran female, and has pledged to throw all its available resources to help re-instate her as one of the top names in Dancehall music.
