Macka Diamond

OnlyFans newcomer Macka Diamond has broken her silence on the reason behind creating an account on the platform.

The “Dye Dye” singer recently joined the growing list of female Dancehall artistes whom have created OnlyFans accounts since the start of the year.

Several acts like Ishawna, D’Angel and Shauna Controlla say subscription-based platform is a viable alternative to make money and connect with fans without the strict guidelines on Instagram.

Macka Diamond created her OnlyFans account earlier this week and has since been making rounds on social media. However the veteran artiste made it clear that she will only be promoting her music through exclusive releases, behind-the-scenes media from video shoots, studio sessions and more as she uses the website to expand her fanbase.

“First of all, it is not a porn site. Individuals who utilise OnlyFans decide how extreme they want to get. In doing my research, I realised the platform provided an avenue for persons within the music industry, locally and internationally, like Cardi B and Safaree, and especially in these times, to earn during the COVID-19 with exclusive content, and I have exclusive content,” Macka Diamond told THE STAR.

“It is a place to sell our product, that is music, and it is moving in a direction where a lot of artistes will need to get with it soon,” she added.

Macka Diamond’s first OnlyFans uploaded was the exclusive release of her “Dog Don” diss track aimed at popular social media personality Pretti Don.
