Police in Fort Lauderdale say nine were arrested on Sunday for looting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The looters were caught by Local 10 News breaking into the Simon’s Sportswear on Sunrise Boulevard and Powerline Road. They were seen smashing in the front window, going inside the store, and walking out with stolen goods. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They were also seen looting at a Footlocker and CashAmerica Pawn Store located in the same area.
“Going to prison over a pair of sneakers is a fairly bad life choice,” said Fort Lauderdale police chief Rick Maglione. “Stay home and look after your loved once and be thankful they are all safe.”
