Lisa Mercedez Is ‘DRAMA FREE’ On Debut EP With Dancehall Giants Vybz Kartel, Ninja Man & More

After years of underground work and connecting with Dancehall giants throughout the years, British-Jamaican Dancehall act Lisa Mercedez, unleashes her debut EP titled Drama Free.

The new 6-track project from Lisa keeps in line with her dancehall sound which has proved popular with fans in the UK and in Jamaica, giving us vibey tracks such as “Bumpa” and “His Loss” featuring the legend Vybz Kartel. Drama Free also sees Lisa team up with the likes of Nadia Rose and Culan on “Hold Tight”, Ninjaman on “Ring Ding” and I Am Aisha on the closing track, “Hot Gyal”.

Speaking on the Drama Free EP, Lisa said:

“THIS PROJECT MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME BECAUSE IT’S MY FIRST TIME PUTTING TOGETHER A BODY OF WORK LIKE THIS AND I FEEL HONOURED TO HAVE SUCH A VARIETY OF ARTISTS WHOSE WORK I LOVE FEATURING ON IT.

“IT’S A PRIVILEGE TO HAVE LEGENDS LIKE VYBZ KARTEL ON THE PROJECT WHO I’VE ALWAYS LOOKED UP TO. IT’S ALWAYS GREAT WORKING WITH DIFFERENT CREATIVE PEOPLE. I FEEL THAT I’VE EVOLVED A LOT OVER THE YEARS AS AN ARTIST, OBVIOUSLY DANCEHALL IS MY CORE BUT I’M INFLUENCED BY THE ENGLISH SCENE AND CULTURE AS WELL.” She added.
