The Tropixs (Kingston, Jamaica) – Louie Rankin “Shottas” co-star Kymani Marley and DJ Khaled have issued heartfelt tributes to the late actor.
The Grammy-award winning artiste passed away from injuries he received in a car accident in Canada. Louie Rankin reportedly received head trauma as a result of the crash. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Speaking on Rankin’s death, Kymani Marley wrote, “At a lost for words right now, we just talked the other day about our next movie project and how it would be another classic. I give thanks that I got the chance to tell you what a great inspiration you have been to so many of us. Rest well my brother. #RIP @louie_rankin #legend.”
DJ Khaled also shared that they had been friends for over 20 years. “Bless up my brother Louie Rankin. Friends 20 years friendship, from shottas and forever ! Love and prayers for your family,” he wrote. “Long live LOUIE RANKING ! Love always my brother @louie_rankin ! Louie you are amazing FATHER ! BLESS UP LOUIE ! 🙏🏽🇯🇲 The legend LOUIE RANKING !.”
