Dancehall artiste Beenie Man is ‘doing well’ after he fainted on Sunday at his mother’s funeral in St Elizabeth, says fiancé Krystal Tomlinson.

The President of the People’s National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO) and caretaker for West Rural St Andrew said the ‘King of Dancehall’ singer is fine and wasn’t hospitalized despite what is being circulated.

“He is just grieving his mom,” Tomlinson told DancehallMag.

In the video Beenie Man, real name Anthony Moses Davis appeared to be overcome by emotion as he saw the casket being lowered into the cold muddy ground at the all-white farewell event and subsequently fainted.

The Doc was then ushered away by four men.

Beenie Man’s mom, Lilieth Sewell reportedly suffered a stroke in July 2020 and was hospitalised at the University Hospital of the West Indies in St Andrew for some time before being discharged. She, however, died in September.
