Konshens Reflects On Late Brother Delus

Konshens is shedding new light on the special bond he shared with his late brother Delus.

The international dancehall artiste recently revealed in an interview that he grew up idolising his older brother, wanting to follow his footsteps at whatever he did.

According to the deejay, he and his brother were very close growing up, and anything Delus decided to do, he would usually be involved.

“He was practically part of everything I did. If him a play football, me a play football. If him a do basketball, me a do basketball. If a badness him a say, a that me a do too,” Konshens said.

The “Bruck Off Yuh Back” deejay went on to reveal that both he and his brother previously aspired to become firefighters, however, their aspirations were deterred after a friend told them they would be hindered by their tattoos.

Konshens says only decided to take music seriously after his brother pitched the idea for them to try their hands at music. The deejay reveals that he boldly quit his job after their first single “Pon Di Corner” became a huge hit in Japan under the moniker Sojah.

Dancehall fans were left shocked in 2016 after Delus was found dead at home in a case of suspected suicide.
